Linux Administrator (with DevOps Exposure)

Location: Remote | Type: Full-time | Salary: 20,000 – 40,000 INR per month

We’re seeking a motivated Linux Administrator with 2–3 years of experience to manage and optimize infrastructure for our next‑generation social media application. This role is ideal for someone strong in Linux systems who has begun exploring DevOps practices and wants to grow into hybrid system administration and automation responsibilities.

What You’ll Do

• Administer and maintain Linux VPS servers for staging, QA, and production environments.
• Configure and manage NGINX, reverse proxies, SSL certificates, and domain setups.
• Support version control workflows (Git, GitHub, GitLab) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) to streamline deployments.
• Assist with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices with Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
• Monitor system performance, uptime, and logs using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack.
• Ensure security, compliance, and backups (SSL/TLS, PDPL/SAMA standards).
• Collaborate with developers using project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Slack, MS Teams) to troubleshoot deployment issues and improve release velocity.
• Document infrastructure processes and best practices for distributed teams.

What You Bring

• 2–3 years of Linux administration experience (Ubuntu, CentOS, or similar).
• Proficiency in bash scripting for automation.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and basic CI/CD tooling.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, load balancing, and high availability setups.
• Familiarity with database management (MariaDB/PostgreSQL) and replication concepts.
• Exposure to monitoring and logging systems.

Nice to Have

• Experience deploying Python/Frappe/Node.js apps in production.
• Exposure to event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with payment gateway compliance and secure wallet deployments.
• Contributions to open-source or DevOps community projects.
