We are seeking a highly communicative, travel-ready, and coordination-focused Associate Lawyer to manage interstate litigation support, advocate network development, partner relations, and nationwide legal coordination activities.

Position Overview

The Associate Lawyer – Interstate Litigation & Network Coordination will serve as a key link between the firm's Kochi office and its growing network of advocates, associates, local counsels, clerks, consultants, and strategic partners across India.

The role requires strong communication skills, excellent relationship management abilities, willingness to travel, and the capability to coordinate legal matters across multiple jurisdictions simultaneously.

This is a highly dynamic position combining legal coordination, litigation management, relationship development, interstate case support, and network-building responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Interstate Litigation Coordination

  • Coordinate interstate litigation matters handled by the firm across India.
  • Act as the primary coordination point between the Kochi office and outstation advocates.
  • Track case progress and status updates from various states.
  • Coordinate filing requirements, documentation, affidavits, vakalaths, and supporting records.
  • Monitor court dates, hearings, filings, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure smooth communication between clients, advocates, associates, and management.
  • Maintain regular follow-up on interstate matters until completion.

Advocate & Legal Network Development

  • Build and maintain a nationwide network of advocates, local counsels, clerks, consultants, and legal professionals.
  • Identify reliable advocates and legal professionals across various states and jurisdictions.
  • Assist in onboarding new associate advocates and strategic legal partners.
  • Develop and maintain state-wise advocate databases and professional directories.
  • Verify credentials and professional capabilities of proposed legal associates.
  • Maintain updated records of empanelled advocates and external legal resources.

Partner & Office Network Management

  • Maintain records of:
  • Associate Lawyers
  • Local Counsels
  • State Coordinators

  • Court Clerks

Travel & Field Coordination

  • Be willing to travel across India whenever required.
  • Coordinate interstate meetings, court visits, client meetings, investigations, and strategic discussions.
  • Represent the firm during networking, coordination, and business development activities.
  • Assist in establishing and strengthening regional relationships.

Legal Operations & Case Support

  • Coordinate collection and transmission of documents across jurisdictions.
  • Assist in legal research and interstate procedural requirements.
  • Coordinate urgent filings and time-sensitive litigation matters.
  • Support litigation teams in managing multi-state matters.
  • Ensure timely communication of developments and instructions.

Talent Identification & Resource Development

  • Identify suitable advocates, clerks, liaison officers, investigators, and support professionals for various assignments.
  • Assist management in sourcing legal and operational resources across India.
  • Support recruitment and network expansion initiatives.
  • Build databases of legal professionals and service providers across different jurisdictions.

Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain comprehensive interstate case trackers.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly coordination reports.
  • Maintain communication logs and relationship databases.
  • Monitor pending tasks and follow-up requirements.
  • Submit periodic reports to management regarding interstate operations and network development.

Required Qualifications

  • LL.B. Degree from a recognized institution.
  • Enrolment as an Advocate preferred.
  • 1–4 years of litigation, coordination, legal operations, or related experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and relationship management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Comfortable with extensive coordination and follow-up responsibilities.

Language RequirementsMandatory:

  • Excellent English Communication Skills
  • Excellent Hindi Communication Skills

Preferred:

Knowledge of additional languages will be considered a significant advantage, including:
