Import / Booking Logistics Coordinator Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Booking/Import & Logistics Coordinator to manage vendor bookings, approvals, and shipment execution with our Supply Chain Management service provider. This role ensures smooth coordination between vendors, production teams, forwarders, and the import operations team, while maintaining compliance with shipping requirements and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Vendor booking management: Oversee vendor/shipper booking submissions on the Matson Logistics portal and ensure VB# generation.
• Booking validation: verify booking details against po information (po, style, color, size, quantity, shipment mode, shipment terms, ship to location and arrival timing) before scheduling.
• Approval coordination: Manage bookings pending approval, liaising with production teams to confirm ETA POD compliance.
• Status updates: Approve or decline bookings in the portal, documenting reasons for rejection when necessary.
• Vessel planning: Collaborate with Logistics to review vessel plans including booking numbers, CBM, shipper details, label codes, warehouse allocation, and container requirements.
• Forwarder / Carrier nomination: Nominate carriers based on rate levels and schedules coordinate booking placement to secure carrier slots.
• Cargo handling: Supervise cargo arrival at CFS, customs clearance, sorting, segregation, and stuffing plans aligned with warehouse logic.
• Compliance management: Escalate vendor non-compliance issues (e.g., improper labeling, packing, misdeclaration of CBM) to booking and production teams and communicate chargebacks when applicable.
• Issue resolution: Provide vendors with opportunities to rework issues within timelines to avoid penalties.
• Documentation coordination: Maintain forwarder contact details and ensure smooth communication for booking, documentation, and shipment execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of shipping processes, booking systems, and logistics operations.
• Experience with vendor coordination and compliance management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to analyze booking details and ensure accuracy across multiple parameters.
• Proficiency in handling vessel planning, cargo segregation, and warehouse logic.
• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain coordination.

Job Location- Sector-62, Noida

Shift time:- 1pm to 10pm

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
