Job Summary:

The Maintenance Incharge is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations within the hospital, ensuring that medical and non-medical equipment, utilities, and infrastructure are functioning efficiently and safely. The role requires prior experience in a hospital or healthcare facility to maintain compliance with healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily maintenance activities of hospital infrastructure including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, biomedical support, and civil works
• Ensure uninterrupted functioning of critical hospital systems such as oxygen supply, DG sets, UPS, lifts, and fire safety systems
• Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules
• Coordinate with biomedical team for maintenance of medical equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, NABH guidelines, and statutory regulations
• Handle vendor management for AMC/CMC contracts and service providers
• Monitor and control maintenance costs and inventory of spare parts
• Supervise maintenance staff, assign duties, and ensure timely task completion
• Maintain proper documentation, logs, and reports of maintenance activities
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and troubleshoot issues

Eligibility Criteria:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering
• Minimum 3–7 years of experience in hospital maintenance (mandatory)
• Knowledge of hospital systems like medical gas pipeline, HVAC, electrical panels, etc.
• Familiarity with NABH/JCI standards is preferred
