Full job description

  • Manage end-to-end procurement of chemicals, solvents, reagents, laboratory consumables, glassware, equipment, spare parts, and general materials.
  • Collect and review purchase requisitions from R&D, analytical, QC, QA, stores, and administration departments.
  • Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate commercial terms, and finalize suppliers.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders after obtaining the required approvals.
  • Ensure timely procurement of critical chemicals and materials to avoid disruption of research activities.
  • Develop and maintain a reliable supplier database for domestic and international procurement.
  • Monitor purchase orders and follow up with vendors for timely delivery.
  • Handle import procurement of specialty chemicals, research compounds, reference standards, laboratory equipment, and other materials.
  • Coordinate with overseas suppliers regarding quotations, proforma invoices, payment terms, shipment schedules, and shipping documents.
  • Verify import documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading or airway bills, certificates of origin, and other applicable documents.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners for customs clearance and delivery.
  • Monitor import shipments and resolve delays, documentation discrepancies, and clearance-related issues.
  • Coordinate with the finance team for advance payments, foreign remittances, and import payment documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable import regulations, including DGFT, customs, and other relevant requirements.
  • Coordinate the procurement of restricted or regulated chemicals only after confirming the required permissions and documentation.
  • Coordinate export shipments of research samples, chemical compounds, intermediates, and other materials as applicable to the CRO's business.
  • Prepare and verify export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, and other required documents.
  • Coordinate with customers, overseas clients, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers.
  • Ensure correct product descriptions, HS codes, quantities, values, and shipment details in export documents.
  • Coordinate the dispatch of research samples and chemical materials in compliance with applicable packaging, labeling, transport, and regulatory requirements.
  • Track export shipments and ensure timely delivery to international customers.
  • Coordinate with the accounts and finance teams for export invoices, payment realization, and export-related documentation.
  • Support the preparation and reconciliation of export documentation, including eBRC and other applicable records, in coordination with the finance team.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
