Full job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and supervise daily farm operations.
  • Manage crop production, including land preparation, planting, irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and harvesting.
  • Oversee livestock management, including feeding, breeding, health, and welfare (where applicable).
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate farm workers and seasonal labor.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and efficient use of farm machinery, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Monitor crop health, soil conditions, and irrigation systems to optimize yields.
  • Prepare and manage farm budgets, operational expenses, and inventory.
  • Maintain accurate records of production, labor, equipment, and farm inputs.
  • Implement modern farming techniques and sustainable agricultural practices.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, agronomists, veterinarians, and government agencies as required.
  • Prepare regular operational and performance reports for management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in farm management or agricultural operations.
  • Strong knowledge of crop production, irrigation, soil management, and pest control.
  • Experience in livestock management is an advantage.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate farm machinery is preferred.
