ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Activities and Tasks

Responsibility

Responsible for production, process improvement, quality and waste of assigned dept.

Monitor production process

To read the production logbook at their department at the beginning of the shift and understand what has happened in the last one day. Allocate the production operators and packing workers to their jobs for the day. Give them necessary instructions

Quality Control

To start production machines, support the operators in starting up the machine, checking the essential quality parameters (using the support of the lab personnel, if not trained himself). Start ancillary equipment as may be required. Keep monitoring the performance of the machine for any quality defects and take suitable corrective actions

Planning

Plan for the raw materials and other packing materials required for the next three shifts.

Print required labels for the production, check that they are in order with the travelling sheets.

Maintain Safety Standards

To be responsible for the safe operations of the shift and the safety of the personnel working. To communicate any concerns/ problems to the respective Head of the departments, especially during the night shifts. Ensure safety of equipment and persons. Ensure good housekeeping and cleanliness of their area

Escalation

In the case of emergencies, to make use of his skills to take control measures. The moment they realize it is going beyond his control, call up his Manager, Plant Engineer and Managing Director asking for support and guidance. If any break down, immediately get it attended by the concerned and inform to your superior.

Record Keeping

Disposal of all production waste on daily basis category wise and maintain records.

Handover Charges

Go for a round with the previous shift engineer of the relevant department complete and take charge of the department, knowing what the status of the various raw materials is, packing materials, etc. required and pertaining to his department. your round should focus also on housekeeping. At the end of the shift hand over charge to successive team leader.

Team Management

To train new employees as well as existing employees

Inventory Management

Go for a round with the previous shift engineer of the relevant department complete and take charge of the department, knowing what the status of the various raw materials is, packing materials, etc. required and also focus also on house keeping

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year
