Job Description
This Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) – BU Quay and Horizontal & Yard Engineering role is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a Mechanical/Production Engineering graduate who wants to build a career in design engineering, heavy machinery, and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and apply engineering principles in the design and development of port crane components and systems.
- Gain hands-on experience with engineering tools such as AutoCAD, NX, and Teamcenter.
- Assist in creating, modifying, and reviewing 2D drawings and 3D models as per engineering standards.
- Support engineering teams in preparing design documentation and technical reports.
- Understand and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles in design activities.
- Gain exposure to manufacturing processes, fabrication techniques, and welding fundamentals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on engineering projects and design reviews.
- Participate in problem-solving, continuous improvement, and engineering innovation initiatives.
- Follow company quality standards, engineering practices, and safety requirements.
- Actively participate in training programs and mentorship sessions to enhance technical and professional skills.
- Support compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- Interest in mechanical design and product development.
- Eagerness to learn CAD and PLM tools such as AutoCAD, NX, and Teamcenter.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, welding, and engineering drawings.
- Understanding of GD&T concepts is an added advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
To achieve these goals:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or production engineering from a recognized university.
- 0–1 year of experience.
- Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.

The role is based in our office in SP Infocity, Pune – but it goes without saying that the remote & hybrid working is a part of our modern ways of working.
