Key Responsibilities
Patient Care Support
· Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
· Support mobility, including transferring and positioning patients safely
· Assist with feeding or meal support as required
Basic Clinical Assistance
· Measure and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) as instructed
· Assist nurses/physiotherapists during procedures or exercises
· Support medication reminders (no administration unless trained and authorized)
Hygiene and Infection Prevention
· Maintain cleanliness of patient surroundings
· Follow infection prevention and control practices (hand hygiene, PPE use)
· Dispose of biomedical waste as per guidelines
Patient Comfort and Safety
· Ensure patient comfort and emotional support
· Observe and report any changes in patient condition to the supervising healthcare professional
· Ensure fall prevention and safe handling practices
Care Coordination
· Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams
· Maintain basic patient records and daily care logs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum: 10th / 12th pass
- Certification in General Duty Assistant / Nursing Assistant (preferred)
- Training aligned with National Skill Development Corporation or Healthcare Sector Skill Council standards (desirable)
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in hospital or home healthcare
- Freshers with relevant certification may be considered
Key Skills and Competencies
- Basic patient care and hygiene skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and patient-centered approach
- Ability to work in home-based, independent settings
- Physical stamina and willingness to travel within Delhi NCR
Working Conditions
- Field-based role requiring travel to patient homes across Delhi NCR
- Flexible shifts (day/night/rotational depending on patient needs)
- May involve handling elderly, bedridden, or post-operative patients
