Medical Billing Assistant jobs

PractiAssist is hiring a Medical Biller & Coder to support therapists and healthcare practices in the United States with claims, coding, and reimbursement.

This role is only for candidates who already have hands-on experience billing or coding for US-based healthcare clients or practices. Please do not apply if you do not have this specific experience — applications without direct US healthcare billing experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare, submit, and follow up on insurance claims for US-based providers

- Apply correct CPT/ICD-10 codes and ensure compliant, accurate billing

- Track and resolve claim denials and rejections with payers

- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits as needed

- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times

Requirements:

- Minimum 1 year of experience as a medical biller or coder for a US healthcare/therapy practice

- Fluent/native English required, both written and spoken

- Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and US insurance/claims processes

- Reliable internet connection and a quiet home work environment

We are looking for experienced, detail-oriented candidates only. General billing experience without US healthcare client exposure will not be shortlisted.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
