Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Medical Coder/Quality Controller to join our team. Having billing experience will be an added advantage to this position. As a Medical Coder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate coding/billing. Having good workers' compensation knowledge. Salary is negotiable if all the expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull and review progress reports from Electronic Health Record System (ECW)
• Perform comprehensive review of the physician’s treatment report
• Review treatment plans, subject lines, and clinical documentation for compliance
• Analyze reports to determine appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes, including modifiers
• Ensure the document is consistent with current coding guidelines and payer-specific requirements
• Take action to send the report for billing.
• Support quality and compliance processes within the Orthopaedic billing workflow.
• Validate completeness and integrity of SOAP notes (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan).

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of Orthopaedic billing and coding practices.
• Expertise in reviewing clinical progress reports and provider interpretations.
• Skilled in X-ray coding and applicable CPT modifiers (Modifier 25, bilateral modifiers, Work Comp modifiers).
• Proven understanding of injection coding protocols.
• Familiarity with NDC (National Drug Code) numbers and appropriate application.
• Ability to reconcile clinical interpretation with correct billing and coding selections.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to identify documentation gaps.

Software Requirements

• Hands-on experience using ECW (eClinicalWorks) and Daisy Bill.

Candidate Requirements:

• Must work the Nightshift with no exceptions (8:20 PM- 5:30 AM).
• Minimum of 2.5 years of experience in medical coding with expertise in Orthopedic.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with clients and team.
• Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, MS Teams, and emails)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
