Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Biomedical Engineer to manage, maintain, and support medical equipment and healthcare technology within the hospital. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of medical devices while supporting clinical staff with technical expertise and equipment training.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment and devices.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on biomedical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
- Ensure all medical devices comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance schedules, repairs, and service reports.
- Coordinate with equipment vendors and service providers for maintenance and warranty support.
- Conduct equipment performance evaluations and recommend upgrades or replacements when necessary.
- Provide technical support and training to clinical and hospital staff on the proper use of medical equipment.
- Assist in the procurement, installation, and commissioning of new medical devices.
- Monitor equipment utilization and ensure minimal downtime.
- Participate in quality assurance and accreditation activities related to biomedical equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Freshers and experienced candidates are welcome to apply.
- Experience in hospital biomedical engineering or medical equipment maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical equipment standards, safety regulations, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
