Health & Medical Researcher – Full Time

Company: Wroops Media
Location: Rohini Sector 24, Delhi – Work From Office
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000/month

About the Role

Wroops Media is looking for a Health & Medical Researcher who is genuinely interested in health, medicine, biology, nutrition, science, and the human body.

This is not a basic content-writing or Google-searching role.

We are looking for someone who can take a health-related topic and deeply investigate it from a scientific perspective, find reliable evidence, understand the data, identify interesting findings, and turn the research into a structured foundation for a YouTube video.

You will be given a topic such as a health condition, food, supplement, habit, treatment, biological process, or scientific claim.

Your job will be to go deep into the topic and find what is actually known, rather than producing generic information that can be found in the first few Google results.

What You Will Do

  • Deep-research health, medical, nutrition, biology, and science topics.
  • Search and analyze peer-reviewed research papers, clinical trials, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, government health sources, medical institutions, and other credible sources.
  • Find the actual evidence behind health claims.
  • Analyze study results, statistics, sample sizes, limitations, and conflicting findings.
  • Distinguish between strong evidence, weak evidence, correlation, causation, and speculation.
  • Find interesting or surprising scientific findings that can make a topic more compelling.
  • Cross-check important claims using multiple reliable sources.
  • Maintain accurate source links and references for research findings.
  • Identify gaps, contradictions, unanswered questions, and areas where the science is still uncertain.
  • Break complex scientific information into understandable explanations.
  • Brainstorm with the content team about the strongest findings, angles, hooks, and storylines.
  • Help create a rough research sheet / content brief before the final script.
  • Organize the research into a logical narrative that can eventually become a YouTube script.
  • Work closely with the team to improve the depth, accuracy, and storytelling potential of each topic.

Example of the Work

If we give you a topic such as:

“What happens to your body when you walk 10,000 steps a day?”

We don't want:

Walking is good for your heart, helps you lose weight, and improves health.

We want you to investigate questions such as:

  • What does the research actually show?
  • How many steps were associated with measurable health benefits?
  • Are the benefits linear or do they plateau?
  • What happens at 3,000 vs. 5,000 vs. 8,000 vs. 10,000+ steps?
  • Which studies produced these findings?
  • How large were the studies?
  • Were they randomized trials or observational studies?
  • What were the limitations?
  • Does walking speed matter?
  • Does age change the results?
  • What happens to cardiovascular risk?
  • What happens to mortality?
  • Are there benefits beyond cardiovascular health?
  • Are there studies that contradict the popular claims?
  • What is genuinely established science versus internet exaggeration?

Then you would organize those findings into a deep research document + key insights + potential story angles, which we can use together to develop the final script.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Strong interest or educational background in health, medicine, biology, biotechnology, pharmacy, nutrition, life sciences, psychology, public health, or a related field.
  • Excellent research skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking ability.
  • Ability to understand scientific papers and medical research.
  • Ability to interpret data, graphs, statistics, and study findings.
  • Excellent written English.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to distinguish credible scientific evidence from poor-quality sources.
  • Ability to work independently and go down a research “rabbit hole” when necessary.
  • Curiosity — you should naturally ask “But why?”, “What does the evidence actually say?” and “Is this really true?”
  • Ability to explain complicated scientific concepts in simple language.
  • Ability to brainstorm ideas rather than simply follow instructions.
  • Willingness to learn and improve continuously.

Important

We are NOT looking for someone who simply uses ChatGPT/Google to generate generic health content.

AI tools can be used as research assistants, but you must be able to verify information yourself, locate original sources, understand the evidence, and identify when AI-generated information is wrong or misleading.

You should be comfortable going beyond the first page of Google.

Who Would Be a Great Fit?

This role could be a great fit for someone with a background such as:

  • B.Sc. / M.Sc. Life Sciences
  • Biology
  • Biotechnology
  • Biochemistry
  • Microbiology
  • Pharmacy
  • Nutrition
  • Public Health
  • Biomedical Sciences
  • Psychology
  • Medicine
  • Or another relevant science/health background

Relevant research or health-content experience is a plus, but strong research ability and genuine scientific curiosity matter more than having a specific degree.

Work Style

This is a full-time, work-from-office position at our office in Rohini Sector 24, Delhi.

You will work closely with the content team and be expected to take ownership of your research rather than waiting for instructions at every step.

We value people who are:

Curious Analytical Detail-oriented Reliable Fast learners Independent thinkers

Salary

₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month

Salary will depend on your knowledge, research ability, experience, and performance.

How to Apply

When applying, please mention:

  • Your educational background.
  • Any previous research/content/medical experience.
  • Why you are interested in health and science research.
  • Any experience reading or analyzing scientific/medical research papers.
  • A sample of research, writing, or analytical work if available.

Shortlisted candidates may be given a small research assignment as part of the hiring process.

Pay: ₹20,003.67 - ₹30,000.00 per month
