At MrMed, we work closely across multiple teams including warehouse operations, logistics, billing, and city operations to ensure timely and safe delivery of medicines to patients. Our operations team plays a critical role in maintaining accuracy, speed, and quality across the supply chain.

Position Overview

The City Operations Manager will be responsible for driving end-to-end operational excellence for the Mumbai hub, including procurement, vendor management, inventory planning, order fulfillment, team management, and process governance. This role is critical in building, stabilizing, and scaling operations while ensuring seamless collaboration across warehouse, logistics, procurement, finance, and support teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Reporting & Analytics

Generate and analyze operational and procurement reports regularly
Maintain PO vs GRN tracking and highlight discrepancies
Share daily under-process reports for operational visibility
Provide data-backed insights for process improvements

2. Procurement & Vendor Management

Identify and onboard new vendors based on operational needs
Negotiate pricing, terms, and turnaround timelines with vendors
Resolve issues related to procurement, deliveries, and credit notes
Ensure timely procurement of medicines and consumables

3. Operations & Inventory Planning

Manage purchase planning and inventory availability
Release bulk purchase orders based on demand forecasting
Coordinate with warehouse teams to maintain stock accuracy
Drive PO to GRN closure with proper documentation

4. Team Leadership & Staff Management

Allocate tasks and manage daily workflows
Monitor team productivity and operational discipline
Conduct regular team discussions and problem-solving sessions
Guide, mentor, and support team members
Collaborate with support teams for issue resolution

5. Packing Material Management

Ensure timely procurement and availability of packing materials
Coordinate replenishment planning with the Chennai team
Monitor stock levels and prevent operational shortages

6. Order Fulfillment & Logistics Coordination

Oversee city-level order processing and dispatches
Coordinate with hyperlocal delivery partners
Monitor fulfillment metrics and improve delivery efficiency
Ensure compliance with healthcare operational standards

7. Compliance & Process Governance

Ensure adherence to SOPs and pharma compliance standards
Support audits and documentation requirements
Maintain procurement and vendor-related records accurately

8. Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with operations, finance, tech, and support teams
Participate in process improvement initiatives
Drive adoption of new tools, systems, and workflows

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, or related fields
8– 10 years of experience in Healthcare, Pharma Operations, Procurement, or Supply Chain
Experience managing city-level or Hub-level operations preferred
Strong understanding of inventory planning and vendor management
Experience leading teams in fast-paced operational environments

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
