About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and patient-focused Patient Counsellor / Financial Counsellor to join our reputed Ophthalmology Centre in New Delhi.

The ideal candidate should have previous experience in a hospital, preferably as a Financial Counsellor, Patient Counsellor, or Insurance/TPA Counsellor, with excellent communication and patient-handling skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel patients and attendants regarding recommended treatments and surgical procedures.
• Prepare and explain surgery estimates, packages, and treatment costs to patients.
• Clearly explain different surgery packages and payment-related information.
• Assist patients with TPA/insurance documentation and formalities.
• Coordinate with doctors and patients regarding treatment plans and procedures.
• Handle patient queries proactively and provide accurate information.
• Follow up with patients regarding treatment decisions and scheduled procedures.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure a smooth patient experience.
• Maintain proper records and update patient-related information in the system.
• Build trust with patients and attendants through professional and empathetic communication.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant hospital experience preferred.
• Proven experience as a Patient Counsellor / Financial Counsellor in a reputed hospital.
• Experience in surgery counselling, estimates, packages, TPA/insurance, or patient billing will be an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good computer knowledge and basic MS Office skills.
• Strong convincing, counselling, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle patients and attendants professionally and patiently.
• Should be confident, presentable, and proactive.
• Immediate joiners will be preferred.
• Candidates must be willing to relocate to New Delhi before joining, if required.
