Job Title: Medical Social Worker (MSW – Healthcare)

Immediate Joiner Required

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Social Worker to provide psychosocial support to patients and their families. The role involves assessing patient needs, coordinating care, and ensuring access to appropriate medical, financial, and social support services.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience (Mandatory) in hospital, NGO, public health programs or Old age home.
  • Experience in patient counseling / healthcare coordination preferred

Educational Qualification:

  • Master of Social Work (MSW) – Medical & Psychiatric / Healthcare preferred
  • Candidates with relevant healthcare exposure will be given preference

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments of patients and families
  • Provide emotional counseling and crisis intervention
  • Assist patients in accessing government schemes, insurance, and financial aid
  • Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and healthcare teams for patient care planning
  • Support admission, discharge planning, and rehabilitation processes
  • Maintain case records, MIS reports, and documentation
  • Conduct home visits and follow-ups where required
  • Handle cases related to chronic illness, mental health, disability, and palliative care
  • Organize and participate in health awareness and community outreach programs

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of empathy and patient handling ability
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems and social welfare schemes
  • Problem-solving and case management skills
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, reporting tools)

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in multi-specialty hospital / NGO / public health projects
  • Familiarity with government healthcare schemes (Ayushman Bharat, etc.)

Additional Requirements:

  • Fluency in local language + Hindi/English
  • Willingness for fieldwork / patient visits
  • Ability to work in rotational shifts (if hospital-based role)
