About the Role
We are seeking a senior Test Automation Architect to define and own the automation strategy for a safety-critical medical device software program. This role combines hands-on technical architecture with strategic leadership, shaping how automation is built and scaled across a regulated, global engineering organization. Client name is confidential at this stage and will be shared with shortlisted candidates.
Responsibilities
- Define architecture patterns, reusable components, abstraction layers, and automation libraries
- Develop automation strategies suited to safety-critical and regulated environments
- Own and define the long-term automation roadmap for medical device software
- Lead proof-of-concepts (POCs) for new tools, frameworks, and technologies
- Guide engineering teams on best practices for coding standards, test design, and maintainability
- Architect enterprise-scale automation frameworks using the Cucumber test framework
- Build Java Swing desktop UI automation using Squish
- Build Web UI application automation using Selenium
- Modernize automation approaches for C++ based systems
- Oversee end-to-end test engineering and CI/CD integration
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience in healthcare industry with strong expertise in Java and C++
- Hands-on experience with Java Swing, Squish, Selenium, and custom-built test frameworks
- Exp with DICOM is must.
- Deep understanding of Unix/Linux environments
- Proven experience in technical leadership and mentoring engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Domain knowledge of medical applications in Java and C++ (X-ray, CT, or MR systems preferred)
- Strong foundation in primary software development and testing practices
Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year
