Full job description
- Transcribe medical dictations, consultation notes, discharge summaries, operative notes, and other clinical documents accurately.
- Review and edit transcribed reports for spelling, grammar, medical terminology, and formatting errors.
- Ensure accurate use of medical terminology, abbreviations, medications, diagnoses, and procedures.
- Maintain proper formatting and documentation standards as per hospital requirements.
- Verify unclear or incomplete information with the concerned doctor or authorized clinical team when required.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient medical records and information.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of assigned transcription work.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency in all clinical documentation.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, medical records, and other departments as required.
- Follow hospital policies, documentation procedures, and quality standards.
- Assist with maintaining and organizing electronic and/or physical medical records when required
