A Merchandiser is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and managing products from production to final delivery. In the fashion and garment industry, a merchandiser acts as a link between the buyer, manufacturer, production team, and supplier.
Main Roles & Responsibilities
Communicate with buyers and understand their requirements.
Handle customer orders and product details.
Select fabrics, colours, trims, and accessories.
Prepare costing and quotations.
Coordinate with the sampling and production departments.
Follow up on production schedules.
Check product quality and ensure standards.
Monitor order status and delivery deadlines.
Prepare reports and maintain records.
Ensure timely shipment and delivery of garments.
