Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on, technically strong Production Merchandiser who understands factory-side garment manufacturing and production execution in depth. You will work closely with vendors, tailors, masters and production units to deliver high-quality garments on time, from sampling through to final dispatch.

The ideal candidate comes from a manufacturing or factory production background and has strong knowledge of garment construction, stitching, finishing and production workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Production Execution

• Coordinate daily production activities with factories, vendors, tailors, masters and production teams.

• Oversee garment production end to end, from development and sampling to the final finished product.

• Follow up on sampling, approvals, corrections and bulk production execution.

• Resolve production-related issues on the factory floor as they arise.

Planning and Tracking

• Monitor production timelines and ensure on-time deliveries.

• Track production status across multiple styles and categories.

• Monitor fabric, trims and thread consumption, as well as production efficiency.

• Maintain production records, delivery schedules and workflow tracking.

Quality and Communication

• Maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

• Ensure every garment meets construction and finishing standards before dispatch.

• Manage communication between the design, production and vendor teams.

Technical Skills Required

A strong understanding of:

• Fabric types and fabric behaviour

• Thread usage and stitch quality

• Button and buttonhole construction

• Garment finishing techniques

• Stitching methods and seam construction

• Garment measurements and fit

• Production workflows and factory operations

• Product construction details

• Sampling and bulk production processes

• Quality control and production troubleshooting

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience working inside garment factories or manufacturing units

• Strong factory-floor understanding and production exposure

• Hands-on experience in apparel manufacturing

• Technical production knowledge, valued over purely coordination or vendor-management experience

• Ability to work closely with craftsmen and production teams

• Strong follow-up, execution and problem-solving skills

• An organised, detail-oriented approach to production management

Qualifications and Experience

• 3–6 years of experience in garment production or production merchandising

• Experience in women’s wear, handcrafted textiles or contemporary apparel brands is a plus

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
