About DatePe

DatePe is building a new-age dating platform focused on creating better, safer and more meaningful connections. We are also building AI-powered features that help users navigate conversations, understand dating situations and communicate better.

We are looking for a React Native Mobile App Developer who enjoys building products quickly, experimenting with AI, and using modern AI-assisted development tools.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain the DatePe Android & iOS mobile application using React Native.
• Build new features, improve existing experiences and ensure a smooth, responsive app experience.
• Work closely with the product and design team to convert UI/UX designs into production-ready features.
• Integrate AI-powered features into the mobile application.
• Work with APIs, real-time communication, notifications and other app integrations.
• Debug, optimize and improve app performance, stability and scalability.
• Participate in product decisions and contribute ideas to improve the overall user experience.
• Rapidly prototype and ship features using modern AI-assisted development workflows.

Must Have

• 3–5 years of professional experience in mobile app development.
• Strong hands-on experience with React Native.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript and React.
• Good understanding of mobile app architecture, API integration and state management.
• Experience publishing or maintaining applications on Google Play Store / Apple App Store.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment.

AI-Assisted Development — Important

We are looking for developers who are comfortable with AI-first / vibe coding workflows.

You should be experienced with tools such as:

• Cursor
• Claude Code
• Other AI coding assistants

You should be able to use these tools effectively for understanding codebases, writing code, debugging, refactoring, testing and rapidly prototyping features — while still understanding and reviewing the code you ship.

Good to Have

• Experience building applications with AI-powered features.
• Knowledge of React.js.
• Knowledge of Node.js / REST APIs.
• Experience with WebSockets / real-time chat.
• Experience with AI APIs / LLM integrations.
• Experience with dating, social networking, chat or consumer applications.
• Understanding of app analytics, performance optimization and crash monitoring.
