JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced lab analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in fuel & lube oil testing and a strong background in laboratory analysis. As a lab analyst, you will be responsible for conducting tests on fuel oil samples, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing accurate and timely results to support quality assurance and regulatory compliance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Sample Analysis:

· Perform testing and analysis of lubricant oils for viscosity, density, flash point, acidity, and other key parameters.

· Conduct elemental analysis using techniques such as ICP, XRF, or similar instruments.

Testing and Reporting:

Maintain accurate documentation of test results and prepare detailed reports.

Ensure timely delivery of test results to relevant departments.

Research and Development Support:

· Collaborate with the R&D team to analyze new formulations and improve product quality.

Assist in developing methods to identify and resolve performance issues in lubricants.

Quality Assurance:

Monitor product consistency and report deviations to management.

Assist in root cause analysis for product complaints and failures

Compliance and Standards:

Ensure all testing processes meet ISO17025, ASTM, and other industry standards.

Conduct routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Safety and Compliance:

· Follow laboratory safety protocols and ensure the proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials.

· Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry standards related to lube & fuel oil testing.

Collaboration and Communication:

· Collaborate with other team members and departments to resolve issues and improve processes.

· Communicate test results and technical information clearly to stakeholders and management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with a focus on fuel oil or similar petrochemical analysis.
  • Skills: 1. Proficiency in laboratory techniques and instrumentation specific to lube & fuel oil testing. 2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in test results and documentation. 3. Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements in testing.
