• To provide solutions to compliance issues, in-house, wherever possible
• Liaise with other regional teams for implementing legal and compliance programs concerning data protection laws, commercial laws, competition laws and all business compliance laws
• Implementing and taking charge of the legal compliance program of the company
• Handling legal compliances of the company and other group entities
• Responsible for drafting notices, plaints / replying to legal notices on behalf of the organization
• Handling litigation matters on behalf of the company and providing all related support as an in-house counsel
• Managing regulatory affairs of the business corresponding with various central, state and local government departments, quasi-judicial offices, to get licenses, manage inspections, seizures, raids, adjudications and all other proceedings under Food Safety and Standards Act, Essential Commodities Act, Shops and Establishments Act, Municipal Corporation laws, Legal Metrology Act, labour laws and other laws affecting retail trade operations
