Job Summary

The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the financial operations of the automobile dealership, including budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, compliance, and coordination with banks and OEM partners. The role ensures financial health, profitability, and regulatory compliance of the dealership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial ManagementPrepare and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking transactions.Track dealership profitability across vehicle sales, service, and spare parts departments.Ensure timely vendor payments and receivables collection.

2. Budgeting & ForecastingPrepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.Monitor actual performance vs. budget and analyze variances.Provide financial insights to support business decisions and profitability improvement.

3. Accounting & ComplianceEnsure proper accounting as per accounting standards and company policies.Manage GST filings, TDS compliance, and statutory returns.Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.Ensure compliance with OEM financial reporting requirements.

4. Dealership Operations SupportWork closely with sales, service, and parts departments to track financial performance.Monitor vehicle inventory financing and stock reconciliation.Oversee retail finance coordination with banks/NBFCs for customer vehicle loans.Track dealer incentives, claims, and reimbursements from OEMs.

5. Internal Controls & Risk ManagementImplement and maintain internal financial controls and audit procedures.Prevent financial discrepancies, fraud, and operational leakages.Conduct periodic internal audits and stock audits.

6. Team ManagementSupervise the accounts and finance team.Ensure accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, and documentation.Train team members on financial policies and compliance.

Qualifications

CA / CMA / MBA Finance / M.Com / B.Com (CA preferred for large dealerships).10–15 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in automobile dealership or automotive industry.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with automobile brands such as Toyota, KIA, Hyundai Motor India, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra dealerships, Volvo and all Luxury brands.Familiarity with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and OEM reporting.
