Hi we are looking for freelancer network engineer in Ahmedabad location.

We need Data Centre/Network Engineer with Practical experience in *Data Centre Break Fix Supoort.*

*City 2:* AHMEDABAD

*Project Type:* Dispatch (Visits will be on customer's demand. We'll let you know a 1,2 days before every visit)

*Job Description:*

Maintains computing environment by identifying network requirements, installing upgrades, and monitoring network performance.

*Job Responsibilities:*

● Break-fix:

1. Visually inspecting devices to assess equipment status

2. Rebooting routers, servers, storage devices or other equipment

3. Providing loop-back cables in order to test circuits remotely

4. Re-seating or replacing components or cables

5. Removing Alternating Current (“AC”) or Direct Current (“DC”) power from equipment

6. Cleaning equipment or connectors

7. Connecting a client-provided test set or test router to equipment

8. Swapping removable storage media

9. Installing or replace modular equipment components

10. Dispatching equipment for repair

11. Cleaning fibers

12. Taking light levels

13. Installing loop backs

14. Providing planned maintenance or circuit migration support

15. Installing Small Form Factor Pluggable (each an “SFP”) or Gigabit Interface Converters (each a “GBIC”)

16. Troubleshooting hardware problems on any device

17. Racking and de-racking of any device installed

18. Labeling/inventory equipment plus digital picture and serial number recording

19. Tape backup: cassette exchange and storage in strongbox

20. Power cycling a router, server, switch and soft-booting a server

21. Follow Data Eradication process

*Provisioning:*

1. Install cables or optics for new circuits

2. Re-connect / disconnect / replace existing circuits

3. Testing of cables and optics

*Deployment:*

1. Physical Cabling

2. Cable Management

3. Northbound Cabling (Fiber/Copper/Power)

4. Rack/Stack/Jack

5. Installation Support (PDU, Network Switches, etc.)

6. E-Waste and other clean-up activities

*Job Requirements:*

● Proven experience in a network administrator role

● Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching

● Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure

● Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired

● Ability to set up and configure server hardware

● Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies

● Great at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking

● CCNA, Network+ or equivalent

● BSc degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent

● Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from three-year College or technical school with an emphasis in electronics required; Bachelor's Degree preferred

*Important Note:*

For Dispatch Data Centre Support *(Google)* Project:

1: All the questions in interview will be regarding your work and experience in Data Centres.

2: This is on demand ticket based freelance project. It’s not a full time role and you will be paid as per actually time spent onsite.

3: If engineer passes the interviews, we will request to send pdf of ID of engineer if native of that country.

If engineer is not native, he needs to send picture/pdf of valid work permit so we can submit and complete the BGV (background Verification)

4: After BGV (Background verification) there will be onboarding process where company email and Google email ID will be created.
