Full job description
JD: Network & Security Engineer – L2/L3
Location: Mohali | Type: Full-time, On-site (not remote)
Role Overview: Hands-on Network & Security Engineer for a multi-site environment — firewall, switching, ISP links, VPN, branch connectivity, network security. Not a desktop-support role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage/troubleshoot Sophos Firewall — rules, NAT, web policies, IPS, SD-WAN, routing, VPN, RED devices, HA
- Support multiple ISP links — outages, bandwidth, failover, packet loss, port forwarding, WAN
- Configure/troubleshoot VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, DHCP, DNS, static/policy routes
- Support Cisco & TP-Link managed switches — VLANs, trunk/access ports, PoE, uplinks, spanning-tree
- Sophos SSL VPN, IPsec VPN, RED devices, branch connectivity, PBX/VoIP network issues
- Coordinate with ISPs, firewall/PBX vendors, hardware providers
- Support Wazuh agent rollout, endpoint visibility
- Assist with USB restrictions, file-sharing controls, VPN/proxy restrictions, web filtering
- Maintain documentation; contribute to RCA and change-management records
- Participate in maintenance windows, failover testing, firmware upgrades
Required Skills: 3–6 yrs hands-on network/firewall support; strong Sophos XG/XGS experience; TCP/IP, subnetting, NAT, packet flow; Cisco Catalyst + TP-Link switches; ISP/leased-line troubleshooting; basic Windows Server/AD; CLI tools (ping, traceroute, nslookup, packet captures)
Preferred: Sophos Central/Endpoint, Zabbix/Wazuh/SIEM, PBX/VoIP (SIP/RTP/QoS), M365/Azure/AWS, CCNA/Network+/Fortinet certs
Note: L2/L3 role — candidates limited to desktop/printer/basic LAN support should not be considered.
Pay: Up to ₹1,200,000.00 per year
