Full job description
Job Role: Mobilization Officer
Job Location: Delhi (Various Locations)
Must Have - 1 Year of Mobilization exposure
Salary - 25,000 Per Month CTC + Tarvel Allowance + Mobile Allowance

Role:
- Organising mobilisation drives while supporting the Community Resource Persons (CRP) in their outreach work in the respective clusters.
- Facilitate on boarding of the mobilised youth & adult in the technology platform who fulfils the eligibility criteria and ensure that the documentary validation is in place.
- Support programme participants to navigate through the technology platform and finish the end to end process so that they are directed towards the next step.
- Engagement with youth to identify their aspirations, skill set and competence and facilitate the end-to-end journey.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Undertake comprehensive needs assessments with Households which include job seeking Youth & Adults to identify their strengths & limitations, training and life skills needs and overall targets for the programme.
- Work as career counsellor to the youth & adults while conveying the findings of the tests they appeared for in the technology platform to ensure they have the impartial Information, Advice and Guidance that empowers them to make positive choices about potential careers.
- Act as the lead worker in the first phase of youths engagement with Magic Bus Livelihood programme and ensure all youth receive the full and proper offer during this time.
- Engage and motivate youth & adults positively at all times ensuring their positive engagement.
- Deliver a sharp focus on all-counselling contributing to successful youth registration, placement and job retention
- Identify and respond to risks that could lead to youth & adults dropping out of the programme.
- Build strong and trusted relationships with youth & adults from the start of their engagement with Magic Bus.
- Work with CRPs in the communities to ensure the mobilisation of youth & adults happens effectively and selection criteria are properly implemented.
- Work with colleagues at district and regional level to continuously improve the quality of the programme.
- Undertake data collection and reporting duties that demonstrate the effectiveness of the programme.
- Act as a role model at all times demonstrating behaviour that displays the characteristics youth should develop to be successful in their chosen field.
Desired Competencies:
- Build positive relationships with youth and motivate individuals to achieve defined targets of taking up short/long duration courses and work.
- Follow standard operating processes correctly and use Magic Bus-specific tools and methods of working consistently.
- Excellent team worker with strong oral and written communication skills including a good level of professional Hindi/local language and English
- Can-do attitude and willingness to use own initiative to solve ground-level problems
- Well-organised working style with excellent time management skills.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends occasionally as required by programme
- Complete comprehensive need assessments with youth that sensitively identify youths strengths and limitations

- Collect and process delivery evidence and data in line with key performance indicators for the programme
Qualification and Experience (essential unless otherwise stated):
- Minimum experience of 2 years of working with and achieving positive outcomes for disadvantaged Youth and work Adults
- Basic knowledge of computers (MS Office, Online search).
- Relevant degree or similar professional qualification from a reputed institution (Minimum 12th Pass)
- Knowledge of youth needs about progressions into work or short/long term courses.
- Experience in need assessment and/or creating personal plans and targets with youth.
- Experience in youth development or vocational training programmes either directly or indirectly (desirable).
- Experience in engaging with wider stakeholders in disadvantaged communities including parents, schools, colleges, panchayats, community leaders, etc.
- Experience in guiding young people on a range of development issues including career or education choices.
