• Supervise granulation manufacturing activities on a shift-to-shift basis and ensure completion of documentation in accordance with cGMP requirements.
• Follow instructions related to new machines, processes, and methodologies in compliance with quality standards.
• Ensure cleaning of equipment and production lines for Type A, Type B, and Type D cleaning during product/batch changeovers and after major maintenance activities.
• Verify the absence of previous product residues and any extraneous matter before commencing operations.
• Ensure proper status labeling of equipment and areas as per SOP requirements.
• Use and enforce the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including face shields, goggles, gloves, and masks.
• Identify hazards associated with products, machines, equipment, and tools, and implement necessary safety measures.
• Report unsafe acts and unsafe conditions immediately to the concerned supervisor.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices within the department.
• Execute and supervise machine changeovers from product-to-product and batch-to-batch as per approved SOPs.
• Ensure machine parameters are set and maintained as defined in the BMR and SOPs.
• Verify raw material details, including product name, batch number, material weight, sieves, FBD bags, bellows, and related accessories against BMR requirements and report discrepancies.
• Monitor product quality and perform periodic visual inspections for defects.
• Ensure machines are operated according to instructions provided by the line or shift supervisor.
• Handle rejected materials and products as per approved SOPs.
• Report any deviation, non-conformity, or abnormality immediately to the line supervisor.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and housekeeping throughout the shift, including surrounding work areas.
• Ensure no material spillage occurs on the production floor.
• Achieve the planned production output and productivity targets during the shift.
• Address minor machine adjustments and settings as required and coordinate with the maintenance team during equipment breakdowns.
• Train and guide new employees on equipment operation, safety requirements, and related manufacturing activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality systems, EHS requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
