ExtraLearn – A Freelance Educational Marketplace by SiteSign, is seeking knowledgeable and passionate Online Computer Science Tutors (Freelance) to provide quality learning support to students across different academic levels. This is a flexible, work-from-home opportunity for educators, computer science professionals, and technology experts dedicated to helping learners develop strong computational skills, understand programming concepts, and achieve their academic and career goals.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct online Computer Science tutoring sessions for students of different grades, levels, and learning backgrounds.
Teach fundamental and advanced Computer Science concepts, including programming, algorithms, data structures, computer fundamentals, databases, networking, cybersecurity, web technologies, and other relevant topics based on the student’s curriculum and learning objectives.
Develop personalized lesson plans according to students’ learning needs, strengths, and areas for improvement.
Explain technical concepts using engaging, practical, and hands-on teaching methods, including coding exercises, projects, and real-world examples.
Assign programming tasks, projects, assessments, and practice exercises to monitor student progress.
Evaluate students’ performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their problem-solving abilities, technical skills, and academic performance.
Create an engaging, supportive, and student-centered virtual learning environment.
Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and effective communication with students through the ExtraLearn platform.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Education, or a related field (preferred).
Strong knowledge of computer science concepts, programming languages, and modern technology tools.
Excellent communication, presentation, and teaching abilities.
Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, training, coding instruction, or online education will be an advantage.
Familiarity with online teaching platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, digital whiteboards, coding environments, and other educational tools.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods according to different learning styles.
Relevant teaching certifications, technical certifications, advanced qualifications, or professional experience in computer science will be an added advantage.
