Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced General Manager – Government Projects & Operations to lead our Government Procurement, GeM bidding, IT hardware, manpower outsourcing, and business operations.

The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills with hands-on experience in Government tenders, GeM procurement, IT hardware, manpower deployment, project management, and client relationship management. The candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, ensuring successful project execution, and leading cross-functional teams across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Government procurement and GeM bidding operations.
• Oversee IT hardware procurement, supply, installation, and project execution.
• Manage manpower outsourcing projects and ensure timely deployment of resources.
• Review tender documents, technical specifications, BOQs, ATCs, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with OEMs, distributors, vendors, government departments, and clients.
• Ensure compliance with GeM, Government procurement policies, ISO standards, and statutory requirements.
• Lead business development initiatives and identify new Government and Corporate opportunities.
• Monitor project execution, profitability, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Manage cross-functional teams including Sales, HR, Tender, Accounts, Procurement, and Operations.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with Government Departments, Cooperative Banks, PSUs, Educational Institutions, and Corporate Clients.
• Prepare MIS reports, operational dashboards, and performance reviews for senior management.
• Drive operational excellence and continuous process improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• MBA or PGDM preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Operations, Government Procurement, Tender Management, or Project Management.
• Proven experience handling GeM tenders, IT hardware procurement, or manpower outsourcing projects.
• Strong knowledge of Government procurement procedures and tender documentation.
• Experience managing teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP/CRM systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with Government Departments, PSUs, Cooperative Banks, or Educational Institutions.
• Knowledge of OEM coordination, technical compliance, MAF, EPR, BIS, Make in India, and ISO documentation.
• Experience in business development and client relationship management.
• Strong financial and operational management skills.
