About the Role
Optimum Infranet LLP (the India office of Optimum Technologies, Australia) is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead the daily back-office operation that supports our Australian telecom projects. You will run the morning operation, coordinate with our Australian client and field teams, and keep jobs moving smoothly from allocation through to completion. This is an in-office role on an early-morning shift aligned to Australian business hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the daily operations cycle: morning briefings, job allocation, schedule distribution and end-of-day wrap-ups.
- Coordinate directly with the Australian client and project managers on allocations, bookings, progress updates and escalations.
- Oversee job readiness — checklists, documentation and appointment confirmations — before crews are dispatched.
- Monitor live job progress through the day and resolve blockers as they come up.
- Lead the back-office team (MIS, HR/admin, drafting), set daily priorities and review output quality.
- Own the job completion and submission workflow on client portals and internal systems.
- Review daily, weekly and monthly operational reports before they go to the client and management.
Requirements
- 5+ years of operations experience, including 2+ years leading a team.
- Experience supporting overseas clients (Australia/UK/US) or in international BPO/back-office operations is preferred.
- Excellent spoken and written English to work confidently with our Australian client.
- Strong people management and the ability to keep a team to daily deadlines.
- Comfortable with web-based systems, Excel and reporting tools.
- A telecom, construction or field-services background is a plus.
Shift & Working Days
- Monday to Friday: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM IST (early start, early finish)
- Saturday: 4-hour morning shift
- In-office role at our Zirakpur office. Candidates in or around Zirakpur are ideal for the early start.
