About the Role

We're hiring field data collectors to record real-world street and indoor video across Indian cities using a head-mounted GoPro camera. You'll walk at a natural pace through streets, markets, temple areas, shops, and transit points, capturing everyday urban scenes for an AI/computer-vision dataset.

This is hands-on, in-person field work. If you enjoy walking, exploring your city, and following clear technical instructions, this role is for you. No prior filming experience required — full capture guidelines are provided.

Payment & QC-Approved Hours

• Pay rate: ₹350 per QC-approved footage hour.
• You are paid only for footage that passes quality control (QC). Payment is calculated on QC-approved hours, not on total hours filmed or time spent.
• Every submission goes through automated QC and manual review. Footage is rejected and not paid if it fails on any of these grounds:
• Wrong resolution (anything other than 1920×1080)
• Motion blur / out-of-focus footage
• Overexposure (more than 30% of pixels saturated)
• Long empty stretches (roughly 2 minutes with no relevant scene)
• Missing or incorrect folder structure / naming
• Not meeting the required capture settings or scene-coverage mix
• Example: if you submit 3 hours of footage and 2.5 hours pass QC, you are paid for 2.5 hours (2.5 × ₹350 = ₹875).
• Following the camera settings, scene-coverage targets, and object-class guidance closely is the best way to maximise your QC-approved (paid) hours.

Equipment requirement: You must own your own GoPro camera and a head mount. This is mandatory — please do not apply without one.

What You'll Do

• Capture a minimum of 4 hours of footage per session. Each individual clip must be no shorter than 1 minute and no longer than 10 minutes.
• Record while walking at a natural pace (no running, cycling, or vehicle-mounted filming).
• Cover a mix of scene types each session:
• ~40% Outdoor/Street (footpaths, roads, bus stops, markets)
• ~25% Indoor/Transition (shops, lobbies, staircases, doorways)
• ~15% Mixed/Partial shade (covered footpaths, entrances)
• ~10% Crowds (junctions, temple entrances, market lanes)
• ~10% Low-light/Evening (street lamps, evening markets, signage)
• Ensure the object classes listed below appear across your footage.
• Follow the folder naming convention and verify every file plays back error-free before upload.
• Upload raw footage (with original camera metadata and audio intact) via Google Drive.

• Resolution: 1080p (1920×1080) only — 4K not accepted
• Frame rate: 60 fps
• Lens/FOV: Linear (no Wide/SuperView)
• Stabilization: Standard or OFF (HyperSmooth not permitted)
• White balance & exposure: Auto
• Color: GoPro Color (no Log/Flat/Protune); Low Light & HDR OFF; Sharpening Medium
• Format: Raw MP4 (H.264/HEVC), no transcoding, natural on-camera audio preserved
• Mount: Head mount

Equipment (Collector Must Provide)

• Your own GoPro camera capable of 1080p/60fps with Linear FOV — mandatory
• Head mount for the camera
• Smartphone and reliable internet for Google Drive uploads

Requirements

• Smartphone and reliable internet for Drive uploads
• Reliability in meeting delivery targets and folder/naming conventions

Pay: ₹350.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 28.0 per week
