LIFO/Storage System & Dead Stock Management

  • To manage the receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of raw materials, consumables, finished goods, and spare parts
  • To ensure inventory accuracy in coordination with purchase and production departments,
  • To ensure adherence to FIFO and safety standards.
  • To receive, inspect, and store raw materials like release liner, face stock, adhesives, films, cores, etc.
  • To ensure proper stacking, identification, and labeling of materials.
  • To maintain accurate stock records in ERP or inventory software.
  • To conduct regular physical stock counts on monthly basis and reconcile discrepancies.
  • To implement FIFO, LIFO as per product nature.
  • To prepare gate passes, delivery challans, and coordinate with transporters before dispatch of material from factory.
  • To finalize minimum level of stock for machine spares, lubricants, tools, and safety items and maintain the pre-decided level.
  • To ensure GRN, MRN, Issue Slips, Stock Register, and other documents are accurately maintained.
  • To generate daily/weekly/monthly inventory and consumption reports.
  • To ensure timely material availability as per production schedules.
  • To categorize all items based on value i.e., High value items, mid-value and average value and each value must be approved by MD on yearly basis.
  • To categorize each item based on delivery time i.e., long delivery time, average delivery time and on (Short delivery) same day delivery.
  • To decide minimum, maximum level of inventory based on last six month consumption and also decide re-order level for each item stored in company.
  • To devide each item based on consumption i.e. regular used item, often used item and rarely used item.
  • To ensure traceability is within 5 minutes to look for any item stored in store.
  • To reconcile the inventory stock on monthly basis and carry out monthly stock audit and submit the report in writing with MD latest by 3rd of next month.
