Job Title: STEM Physics Expert (Task-Based Contract Role)

Job Overview

We are seeking highly skilled Physics Experts to contribute to advanced AI research projects focused on improving and evaluating large language models (such as ChatGPT).

In this role, you will design and solve complex physics problems, create structured step-by-step solutions, and help evaluate the reasoning capabilities of AI systems. This work directly contributes to building next-generation AI evaluation benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and solve challenging Physics problems across undergraduate to PhD-level topics
• Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with strong logical reasoning
• Break down complex Physics concepts into simple, understandable explanations
• Identify limitations in AI model reasoning (multi-step logic, abstraction, symbolic manipulation)
• Collaborate with researchers to improve evaluation datasets and benchmarks
• Provide structured feedback and annotations for model outputs

Required Qualifications

• Master’s / PhD / Postdoctoral degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or related field
• OR
• Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant Physics/Engineering research experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to clearly explain Physics concepts in a structured manner
• Strong scientific writing and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environmentPreferred Skills
• Research experience in Physics or Applied Physics domains
• Experience in scientific writing, teaching, or mentoring
• Exposure to advanced Physics topics and problem formulation
• Ability to work on structured reasoning or analytical tasks

Work Schedule & Commitment

• 4–8 hours per day
• Minimum 4 hours overlap with PST timezone
• Flexible remote working arrangement
• Contract duration: 3 months
• Task-based workload (average task: 6–8 hours)

Compensation
