Job Summary

The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications, reviewing prescriptions for accuracy and safety, counseling patients, and supporting the safe and effective use of medicines. The role ensures compliance with pharmacy regulations while delivering high-quality patient care.

Key ResponsibilitiesDispensing & Medication Management

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, legality, allergies, and potential interactions.
• Dispense medications and ensure correct dosage, form, labeling, and packaging.
• Maintain accurate patient medication records and documentation.
• Oversee storage, handling, and inventory of pharmaceuticals, including controlled substances.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate procurement of medicines and supplies.

Patient Care & Counseling

• Counsel patients on medication use, possible side effects, precautions, and adherence.
• Provide guidance on OTC medications, supplements, and general health queries.
• Support chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension) through medication education.

Clinical & Safety Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and pharmacy standards.
• Report adverse drug reactions and medication errors as per protocol.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on medication therapy.
• Participate in clinical audits, drug utilization reviews, and formulary management.

Administrative Duties

• Maintain proper documentation for controlled drugs and regulatory audits.
• Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the pharmacy environment.
• Assist in training pharmacy interns, assistants, or technicians.
• Manage billing, insurance claims, and patient records (retail/community settings).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹19,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
