About the Role

Pepup HR is hiring a Political Researcher on behalf of its client, for their team based in Delhi. You will support campaign planning, issue analysis and stakeholder insights by researching, organizing and analyzing political and policy data. The role offers early-career professionals in the political domain direct exposure to live campaign strategy and the opportunity to grow under experienced research leads.

Key Responsibilities

• Research political trends, electoral dynamics, policy developments, legislative issues and socio-economic indicators.
• Collect and analyze primary and secondary data (surveys, election results, government reports, media coverage) to surface patterns and insights.
• Draft briefing notes, short reports and presentations for internal teams, with guidance from senior researchers.
• Build and update databases of political and policy information, keeping them accurate and easy to use.
• Monitor daily political developments at national and state level and share timely updates. Verify facts and sources rigorously to ensure accuracy and credibility of all research outputs.
• Support stakeholder mapping, constituency profiling and issue analysis to inform campaign strategy.
• Work with colleagues across teams and take feedback to improve the quality of your work.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Economics or a related Social Science discipline.
• 1-2 years of experience in research, policy analysis or a similar role.
• Preferred: prior experience in the political domain (campaigns, legislators' offices, think tanks, political consultancies or government).
• Working knowledge of research methods and data analysis.
• Good written and verbal communication in English and Hindi.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong interest in Indian politics and current affairs, with an objective, non-partisan approach to analysis.
• Ability to manage tasks, take feedback and meet deadlines.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Delhi, Delhi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
