Job Summary:

We are looking for a responsible and field-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Executive to ensure food quality, hygiene, food safety, and compliance standards across multiple outlets.

The candidate will be responsible for conducting outlet and vendor visits, quality and food safety audits, documentation, sample collection, laboratory testing coordination, and follow-up on quality-related issues.

The role requires frequent outlet/vendor visits and daily travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular quality and food safety audits across multiple outlets.
  • Manage and monitor QA activities for multiple outlets simultaneously.
  • Conduct scheduled and surprise outlet audits covering:
  • Food safety and hygiene
  • Sanitation
  • Storage conditions
  • Temperature control
  • Product quality
  • SOP compliance
  • Conduct vendor visits and vendor audits to verify:
  • Product quality
  • Hygiene standards
  • Manufacturing practices
  • Storage conditions
  • Compliance requirements
  • Maintain and regularly update QA files, records, checklists, reports, certificates, and other documentation.
  • Coordinate food, water, raw material, and other laboratory testing with approved laboratories.
  • Collect samples from outlets and vendors and ensure proper sampling, labeling, storage, and submission for testing.
  • Review laboratory test reports and follow up on non-conformities and corrective actions.
  • Identify food quality and food safety issues during audits and ensure timely Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Monitor raw materials, packaging materials, finished products, storage practices, shelf life, and product specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs, hygiene standards, food safety requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit outlet audit reports, vendor visit reports, quality issue reports, and follow-up reports.
  • Coordinate with outlet teams, Operations, Vendors, Procurement, and other departments for timely closure of quality-related issues.
  • Provide basic food safety and hygiene training to outlet staff whenever required.
  • Work extensively in the field and visit different outlets and vendors as per the schedule.
  • Travel on a daily basis as required for audits, inspections, vendor visits, and other QA activities.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Good knowledge of Food Safety, Food Hygiene, GMP, GHP, HACCP, and QA practices.
  • Strong auditing, inspection, and observation skills.
  • Strong documentation and record-maintenance skills.
  • Ability to independently manage QA activities across multiple outlets.
  • Ability to identify non-conformities and follow up until closure.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory testing and interpretation of test reports.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, Email, and reporting tools.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a field-based role.
  • Good time management and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualification & Experience:

Education:
B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Dairy Technology, or a related field.

Experience:
Preferably 2–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Food Safety, ideally in:

  • QSR
  • Restaurants
  • Cloud Kitchens
  • Food Manufacturing
  • Hospitality Industry

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidate should be comfortable with daily travel and frequent outlet/vendor visits.
  • Willingness to work extensively in the field is required.
  • Having a two-wheeler and valid driving licence will be an advantage.
