About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Area General Manager – Restaurant Operations to oversee and manage the operations of our restaurant chain in Pune. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry, with a proven track record of managing multiple outlets, driving business performance, maintaining operational standards, and leading large teams.

The candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, food quality, customer service, cost control, team management, and revenue growth. This role requires a strong operational leader who can ensure smooth functioning across all outlets while driving profitability and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Multi-Outlet Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple restaurant outlets across the assigned area and ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
• Business Performance: Drive sales growth, profitability, and operational efficiency across all outlets.
• Restaurant Standards: Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, presentation, service standards, hygiene, and overall guest experience.
• Cost & Profitability Management: Monitor food costs, labour costs, inventory, wastage, and operating expenses to achieve business targets.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop restaurant managers, outlet managers, and operations teams.
• Customer Experience: Ensure high customer satisfaction, resolve escalated complaints, and implement initiatives to improve guest loyalty.
• Operational Excellence: Establish and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance across all outlets.
• Sales & Revenue Growth: Analyse outlet performance, identify business opportunities, and implement strategies to increase sales and average order value.
• Inventory & Vendor Management: Monitor procurement, stock control, vendor performance, and inventory management practices.
• Compliance & Hygiene: Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, FSSAI requirements, licensing, and other applicable statutory regulations.
• Performance Monitoring: Review outlet-wise KPIs, sales reports, profitability, customer feedback, and operational audits.
• Expansion & Business Support: Support new outlet openings, operational setup, staff deployment, and standardisation of processes.
• Management Reporting: Prepare regular business reviews and operational reports for senior management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 10–15 years of experience in the hospitality, food and beverage, or restaurant industry.
• Proven experience managing multiple restaurant outlets or a regional/area-level restaurant operation.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end restaurant operations, including front of house, kitchen operations, food production, service, and inventory management.
• Experience in handling restaurant budgets, P&L, food costs, manpower costs, and profitability.
• Prior experience working with a restaurant chain, QSR brand, casual dining restaurant, or organised food service business.
• Strong leadership, people management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good understanding of restaurant SOPs, food safety, quality control, and customer service standards.
• Ability to analyse business data and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Candidates with experience managing operations in Pune or Maharashtra will be preferred.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a hands-on restaurant operations professional who understands the practical realities of running a restaurant chain, rather than someone with only general hospitality or hotel management experience.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable visiting outlets regularly, reviewing operational performance, working closely with outlet managers and kitchen teams, resolving operational challenges, and ensuring that every restaurant meets the company's business, quality, and service standards.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
