Position: Restaurant Host/Hostess – Reception

Job Summary

We are looking for a warm, confident, and well-presented Restaurant Host/Hostess with 1–2 years of experience in restaurant reception/host roles. The candidate will be responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations and enquiries, coordinating seating, and ensuring a smooth and pleasant guest experience from arrival to seating.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Manage the restaurant reception area and ensure it remains clean, organized, and presentable.
• Handle table reservations, walk-ins, and guest enquiries.
• Maintain accurate reservation and guest enquiry records.
• Answer incoming calls and provide information regarding reservations, restaurant timings, menu, offers, and facilities.
• Confirm reservations and communicate booking details to the relevant team members.
• Escort guests to their tables and coordinate seating based on table availability and the floor plan.
• Manage waiting guests professionally and provide accurate waiting-time information.
• Coordinate closely with the Restaurant Manager, Captains, and service team regarding table availability and guest requirements.
• Record and communicate special requests, including birthdays, anniversaries, dietary requirements, and seating preferences.
• Handle guest feedback and concerns politely and escalate issues to the concerned manager when required.
• Assist with private dining, group bookings, and special event enquiries.
• Maintain a professional appearance, positive body language, and excellent telephone etiquette at all times.
• Ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for every guest interacting with the reception.
• Perform other front-of-house responsibilities as assigned by management.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant experience specifically as a Restaurant Hostess, Restaurant Receptionist, or in a similar front-of-house reception role.
• Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Pleasant, confident, and welcoming personality.
• Strong guest-handling and telephone etiquette.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Basic computer knowledge; experience with restaurant reservation systems will be an advantage.
• Well-groomed and professionally presented.
• Ability to remain calm, courteous, and composed during busy hours.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
