Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily food preparation and basic cooking tasks under the guidance of chefs.
  • Follow standardized recipes, portion sizes, and presentation requirements.
  • Ensure consistency and quality in all dishes served.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, storage, and work areas.
  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store utensils, equipment, and kitchen tools.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and hotel sanitation standards (HACCP/FSSAI guidelines).
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
  • Support to Chefs & Team
  • Assist chefs in chopping, cutting, marinating, garnishing, and plating.
  • Replenish stock and ensure availability of ingredients during operations.
  • Coordinate with service staff to ensure timely delivery of food.
  • Inventory & Stock Management
  • Check and store daily supplies, raw materials, and ingredients properly.
  • Minimize food wastage through correct portioning and storage practices.
  • Assist in stock rotation (FIFO method – First In, First Out).
  • Guest Satisfaction Support
  • Ensure food is prepared and served on time.
  • Follow special dietary requirements or guest preferences as instructed by chef.
  • Maintain professionalism and teamwork to deliver excellent guest experience.
