Job Description – Restaurant Steward

Location: Bangalore, India
Industry: High-Profile Fine Dining Restaurant
Department: Food & Beverage Service
Reports To: Restaurant Supervisor / Captain

Position Overview

As a Restaurant Steward, you will be part of a prestigious fine-dining team, ensuring exceptional guest service, maintaining high standards of hospitality, and delivering a refined dining experience. You will assist in table service, guest interaction, and upholding fine-dining protocols while ensuring discretion with high-profile clientele.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly and provide professional, attentive service.
  • Assist in presenting menus, answering guest queries, and recommending food and wine pairings.
  • Support Captains/Servers in taking and serving orders with precision and efficiency.
  • Set up and maintain tables as per fine-dining etiquette.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and equipment.
  • Handle guest requests promptly and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Clear and reset tables discreetly and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth and timely service.
  • Maintain grooming standards, hygiene, and safety protocols.
  • Provide discreet, personalized service for high-profile guests.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 1–6 years’ experience in fine dining, luxury hotels, or premium restaurants.
  • Strong knowledge of fine-dining etiquette, wine service, and food presentation.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages a plus.
  • Impeccable grooming, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Diploma/Certification in Hotel Management or F&B Service preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a positive, guest-first attitude.
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
