Hours:9:00am to 5:00pm Weekdays (Monday – Friday)

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Data Pipeline Support Engineer to support the maintenance and troubleshooting of data integration processes, specifically around SAP BODS jobs and data loading to Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS). This role will focus on providing ongoing support for production systems, resolving issues, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing data workflows for maximum efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SAP ECC data extraction, BODS development, and Azure cloud services.

Data Extraction from SAP ECC:

• Support and monitor SAP BODS jobs designed for extracting data from SAP ECC using SAP Extractors (standard and custom).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP ECC data extraction to ensure continuous data flow.
• Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of both full and delta data extraction processes.

BODS Job and Workflow Support:

• Provide support for the development and maintenance of BODS jobs, workflows, and dataflows to transform and cleanse data.
• Assist in optimizing BODS job performance for large-scale data processing and minimize job failures.
• Ensure the proper execution of BODS jobs and resolve performance-related issues.

Data Loading to Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS):

• Support and monitor the data loading process into ADLS in various file formats (e.g., CSV, Parquet).
• Maintain and troubleshoot connections between BODS and Azure Data Lake Storage.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and efficient data transfer during the loading process.

Troubleshooting & Support:

• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of data integration issues related to SAP BODS, data extraction, and ADLS loading.
• Provide timely support for production data loads, identifying and resolving any data discrepancies or failures.
• Monitor job execution and performance, ensuring data pipelines run smoothly.

Documentation & Best Practices:

• Maintain and update detailed operational guidelines documentation for all deployed processes, including BODS jobs, workflows, and pipeline configurations.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting SAP BODS data extraction processes.
• Experience troubleshooting SAP ECC data extraction and resolving issues related to SAP Extractors.
• Hands-on experience with BODS job maintenance, workflows, and data flows.
• Experience with data loading and management in Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
• Proficient in SQL and data warehousing concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Familiarity with flat file formats such as CSV and Parquet.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve data issues.
• Solid understanding of SAP ECC data structures (e.g., SD, MM, FI) and data extraction methodologies.
• Experience with monitoring tools and job performance tracking.

Additional Knowledge (Preferred):

• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory or other Azure data integration tools.
• Experience with SAP BW (Business Warehouse) is a plus.
• Familiarity with best practices in data security and integrity for cloud-based storage solutions.
