Job Summary

Samrat Laminates is seeking an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to lead and manage the complete production operations of the laminate manufacturing facility at Nalagarh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production planning, quality compliance, manpower management, productivity improvement, cost control, and timely delivery of finished products while maintaining safety standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Operations Management

• Manage and supervise the entire laminate production process.
• Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Monitor production schedules and optimize machine utilization.
• Coordinate with Planning, Maintenance, Quality, and Dispatch departments for smooth operations.
• Ensure uninterrupted production flow and minimize downtime.

Production Planning & Control

• Prepare and execute production plans as per customer requirements.
• Monitor production efficiency and implement corrective actions when required.
• Ensure optimal utilization of raw materials and production resources.
• Maintain production records, reports, and MIS documentation.

Quality Management

• Ensure adherence to company quality standards and specifications.
• Work closely with the Quality Control team to reduce rejection and wastage.
• Implement quality improvement initiatives and process controls.
• Investigate production defects and initiate corrective actions.

Team Management

• Lead, train, and motivate production supervisors, operators, and shop-floor workers.
• Manage workforce deployment and shift planning.
• Conduct performance evaluations and skill development programs.
• Foster a positive and disciplined work environment.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities for productivity enhancement and cost reduction.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement practices.
• Monitor production KPIs and recommend process improvements.
• Drive operational excellence initiatives.

Maintenance Coordination

• Coordinate with the maintenance department to ensure machine availability.
• Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance planning.
• Reduce machine breakdowns through proactive monitoring.

Inventory & Material Management

• Monitor consumption of raw materials and consumables.
• Control wastage and improve material yield.
• Coordinate with stores and procurement teams for material availability.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Promote safe work practices across the production floor.
• Conduct safety audits and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and environmental requirements.

Desired Candidate ProfileEducational Qualification

• B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Additional certifications in Manufacturing Operations, Lean, Six Sigma, or Production Management will be an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
• Experience in laminate, plywood, decorative surface, paper impregnation, panel products, or related industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, process optimization, and quality systems.
