JOB DESCRIPTION – SECURITY OFFICER

## 1. Job Purpose

To ensure the safety and security of the factory premises, employees, visitors, materials and company assets by implementing effective security systems, supervising security personnel, controlling access and maintaining discipline across the factory.

## 2. Key Roles & Responsibilities

*Security Operations*

* Manage overall security operations of the factory premises.

* Supervise security guards and ensure proper deployment across all shifts and entry/exit points.

* Maintain discipline, alertness and professional conduct among security personnel.

* Conduct regular patrolling and security inspections of the factory premises.

*Gate & Access Control*

* Monitor entry and exit of employees, visitors, contractors and vehicles.

* Maintain visitor registers, vehicle registers and other security records.

* Verify gate passes and documents for incoming and outgoing materials.

* Ensure proper checking of vehicles and materials as per company procedures.

* Prevent unauthorized entry and movement of company assets.

*Material & Asset Security*

* Monitor movement of raw materials, finished goods, scrap and other company property.

* Coordinate with Stores, Dispatch and Accounts for verification of relevant documents.

* Prevent theft, pilferage, unauthorized removal of materials and security breaches.

* Ensure compliance with gate-pass and material-movement procedures.

*Emergency & Safety Management*

* Coordinate with the EHS team for fire safety, emergency response and evacuation arrangements.

* Ensure security personnel are trained in emergency procedures and incident reporting.

* Respond promptly to security incidents, suspicious activities and emergencies.

* Coordinate emergency communication with management and relevant authorities when required.

*Team Management & Reporting*

* Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate security manpower for all shifts.

* Conduct security briefings, toolbox talks and periodic training.

* Maintain attendance, shift-handover records, incident registers and daily security reports.

* Investigate and report security violations, incidents and suspicious activities to management.

* Coordinate with HR, Administration, Production, Stores and EHS departments.

* Recommend improvements in security procedures and access-control systems.

## 3. Educational Qualification & Experience

* Ex-Army / Ex-Serviceman with a minimum of *8 years of relevant experience* in security, discipline, administration or industrial security.

* Graduate preferred; other qualifications may be considered based on relevant experience.

* Experience in factory, manufacturing, chemical or industrial premises will be an advantage.

* Knowledge of security procedures, emergency response, access control and security documentation is essential.

* Basic computer and MS Office knowledge preferred.

## 5. Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

*Ideal Candidate:* A disciplined and vigilant ex-Army professional with strong leadership capabilities and hands-on experience in managing security operations in a factory or industrial environment.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
