Reports To: Partner / Manager – Compliance & Corporate Advisory

About Us

SLS & Co. is a full-service Chartered Accountancy firm offering audit, taxation, advisory, and compliance services to a diverse client base. We are looking to strengthen our Compliance & Corporate Advisory team with a dedicated professional who is eager to learn, grow, and take ownership of client compliance requirements.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Compliance Manager who is genuinely eager to learn and contribute meaningfully to our compliance and corporate advisory functions. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in compliance without the distraction of a concurrent professional degree — we're looking for full-time commitment and focus on the job itself.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle end-to-end statutory and regulatory compliance for client entities (Companies Act, ROC filings, LLP compliances, etc.)
  • Assist in drafting resolutions, minutes, notices, and other corporate secretarial documents
  • Support incorporation, registration, and licensing processes for new entities
  • Track compliance calendars and ensure timely filing of statutory returns and forms
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies (MCA, ROC, RBI, SEBI as applicable) on behalf of clients
  • Assist Partners in corporate advisory assignments — restructuring, due diligence, and governance matters
  • Maintain and update client compliance records, registers, and documentation
  • Research and stay updated on changes in corporate law, compliance requirements, and regulatory circulars
  • Support internal audits and compliance health-checks for client organizations
  • Build strong working relationships with clients to understand and anticipate their compliance needs
  • Take ownership of assigned compliance tasks with minimal supervision as experience grows

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Commerce, Law, Business Administration, or related field
  • Should NOT be currently enrolled in or pursuing CS, CA, CMA, LLB, or any other professional qualification — this role requires full focus and availability
  • Genuine interest in compliance, corporate law, and regulatory work
  • Strong willingness to learn — prior hands-on experience is a plus but not mandatory
  • Good understanding of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and compliance calendars
  • Basic understanding of the Companies Act, LLP Act, or corporate compliance framework (preferred, not mandatory)

Preferred Attributes

  • Prior internship or work exposure in a CA/CS firm, legal firm, or corporate compliance department
  • Proactive, self-driven attitude with a strong learning orientation
  • Comfortable working directly with Partners and taking on responsibility early
  • Good research skills — able to independently look up compliance requirements and regulatory updates

What We Offer

  • Hands-on learning and mentorship directly from Partners
  • Exposure to a wide range of clients and compliance scenarios
  • Clear growth path within the compliance and corporate advisory function
  • A supportive environment for someone serious about building a career in compliance

Compensation

26000 - 35000/ Monthly, commensurate with experience
