Job Description : Factory Head
Company : Nithya Amirtham Indian Food Private Limited
Location : Kelambakkam
Reporting to : Managing Director

Position Overview:

Nithya Amirtham Indian Food Private Limited is seeking a highly skilled Factory Head to oversee and manage the overall factory operations right from manufacturing of sweets & savories, and also distribution operations. To balance the traditional recipes with scalable, high-speed production, manage operational costs and enforce strict food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Production Management: Oversee day-to-day manufacturing of sweets, savories and bakery items. Develop production schedules to balance supply with sales forecasts and seasonal festive spikes. Monitor moisture control, oil quality, sugar syrup consistency, and packaging integrity to minimize spoilage and maintain optimal shelf life.

· Quality Control & Hygiene: Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards like HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Point), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and FSSAI. Ensure the standardization of taste, texture and visual presentation across all product batches.

· Supply Chain & Inventory: Coordinate with procurement teams to manage raw material inventory (e.g., sugar, ghee, flour, oil, etc.) and minimize wastage. Oversee seamless dispatch to retail outlets, corporates and distributors.

· Budget & Cost Control: Monitor operational budgets to reduce manufacturing costs while scaling production efficiency.

· Team Leadership: Manage cross-functional teams including sweet masters, chaat masters, savories masters, pickle masters, packaging staff and maintenance engineers. Foster a culture of safety and operational excellence on the factory floor. Cultivate a "Zero Harm" safety culture, enforcing safety gear, machine guards, and safe handling of hot oils and heavy confectionery machinery.

· Compliance & Auditing: Liaise with local authorities and ensure full legal and environmental compliance (e.g., Pollution Control Board, Fire Safety, Boiler Certifications, Factory Inspectorate, Labour Department, etc.).

Core Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years in FMCG Food Processing, specifically within the sweets & savories, snack or bakery sector.
  • Education: Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or Business Administration.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) tracking, and food processing machinery.
  • Certifications: Preference for training in HACCP, FSSC 22000 and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Pay: ₹125,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per day
