Full job description

Job purpose:

The Supply Chain Analyst is the process owner and subject matter expert for the James Fisher and Sons Approved Vendor List (AVL) platform, supplier onboarding process and Group Supply Chain data systems. The role exists to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of supplier data across the group, to drive continuous improvement of the AVL system and associated processes, and to provide data-driven insight through business

intelligence reporting that supports group-wide procurement decision-making.

Dimensions:

No direct reports. Individual contributor role.

Supports all three divisions (Energy, Maritime, and Defence) plus Group functions.

Operates across approximately 20 countries within the JFS group supplier base.

Primary location: India. Occasional international travel required (once or twice per year).

Responsible for the integrity of the data contained in the AVL database of approximately

6,000 supplier records, developing and maintaining supply operational dashboards based

on ERP purchase order data, inventory data, logistics data and datalake.

Key stakeholders: Group Supply Chain Director, Group Sourcing Manager India, divisional

Heads of Supply Chain, IT (Synergi), Finance (Risk and Controls).

Principal accountabilities:

1. Supply Chain data integrity: Own and maintain the completeness and accuracy of the JFS Approved Vendor List, ensuring all supplier records meet defined data quality standards and that processes are in place to sustain that quality over time.

2. Supplier onboarding: Serve as the subject matter expert for the supplier onboarding process, managing the end-to-end workflow from initial registration through qualification, compliance checks, and activation on the AVL platform.

3. System improvement: Work with Synergi (the AVL platform provider) and internal IT stakeholders to identify, specify, and drive continuous improvement of the Dynamics 365 and Power Pages AVL platform, acting as the primary interface between supply chain and technology on system matters.

4. Business intelligence: Design, build, improve and maintain procurement BI dashboards and reporting across the group, ensuring stakeholders have timely and accurate visibility of supplier data, spend analytics, and compliance status.

5. Process development: Develop, document, and embed the processes, controls, and working practices that govern how supply chain data is created, maintained, and validated across the group, including duplicate detection, re-evaluation workflows, and data governance standards.

6. Compliance support: Support the group's compliance obligations by ensuring the AVL operates as an effective control vehicle for sanctions screening, financial health monitoring, and Code of Conduct compliance, aligned to the requirements of the group entity level controls framework.

Special features:

This role is a dedicated resource for Group Supply Chain systems and data across the James Fisher group. The postholder must be capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy and self-direction.

The AVL platform (Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Pages) was built by an external systems integrator (Synergi). The postholder will manage the ongoing working relationship with Synergi on technical and process matters and must be comfortable engaging with thirdparty technology partners.

The Group BI platform is in an early stage of development, having been initiated by an external contractor. There is significant work to do to get full visibility of spend data and operational procurement metrics. The post holder will work with the external contractor to understand the data lake structure and begin to take ownership for the maintenance and improvement of the platform.

The role requires occasional international travel, including to United Kingdom offices, to engage with divisional supply chain teams and key stakeholders.

A key challenge for this role is operating as a sole contributor in a newly established group function, requiring the ability to build credibility and working relationships across multiple divisions and geographies without direct authority.

Knowledge, experience and skills required:

A graduate in a relevant discipline such as computer science, information systems, data science, supply chain management, or a related field from a recognised university. The postholder will have strong analytical capability and demonstrable proficiency across the Microsoft data and analytics stack, including Dynamics 365, Power Pages, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Power Automate, and Excel. Practical experience working with AI tools to

enhance data analysis and process efficiency is expected. An understanding of supply chain processes and procurement principles is advantageous, though deep technical supply chain expertise is not a prerequisite for the role. Strong written and spoken English is essential given the global nature of the role and the requirement to communicate effectively with stakeholders across multiple countries and time zones. Candidates who are early in their career and can demonstrate the required technical aptitude are equally considered alongside those with experience in a data, systems, or supply chain environment.

Location & working: Mumbai / Hybrid.
