We are looking for a Junior Research Analyst (Equity & Derivatives) who is analytical, curious, and passionate about financial research and trading strategies.

Job Summary

As a Junior Research Analyst, you will work closely on equity and derivatives market research, quantitative strategy development, data analysis, and trading model evaluation. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy combining finance, mathematics, and analytics to identify market opportunities and improve trading performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research on Equity and Derivatives markets to support trading and investment strategies.
• Develop and evaluate data-driven trading ideas using analytical and statistical methods.
• Analyze large financial datasets to identify trends, inefficiencies, and predictive market signals.
• Build, test, and refine quantitative models, forecasting methods, and trading strategies.
• Perform backtesting, simulations, and performance analysis to evaluate strategy effectiveness.
• Apply statistical and mathematical techniques to improve model accuracy and trading performance.
• Process, clean, validate, and maintain research datasets for analysis and reporting.
• Prepare research reports, summarize findings, and present insights to the internal team.

Eligibility / Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with any of the following backgrounds will be preferred:

• CFA (Pursuing / Completed)
• CMT (Pursuing / Completed)
• CA
• MBA in Finance

Required Skills

• Strong academic background in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, or related quantitative fields.
• Good understanding of financial markets, especially Equity and Derivatives.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Knowledge of statistical concepts such as time-series analysis, regression, forecasting, and optimization.
• Ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable insights.
• Strong communication, reporting, and presentation skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently on research assignments.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
