Job Title: Medical Officer – Blood Centre / Blood Bank

Job Type: Full-time/Part time

Schedule: Day shift

Job SummaryWe are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Medical Officer to oversee operations at our licensed Blood Centre. You will be responsible for ensuring donor safety, blood collection protocols, laboratory testing accuracy, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has strong clinical judgment, leadership skills, and expertise in transfusion medicine or pathology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Donor Care: Screen donors for eligibility, conduct pre/post-donation counseling, and manage adverse reactions.
  • Lab Supervision: Verify blood grouping, cross-matching, and mandatory TTI screenings (HIV, Hep B/C, Syphilis).
  • Quality Control: Supervise blood component preparation and authorize the safe disposal of reactive or expired units.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to government drug regulations, licensing laws, and internal SOPs.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and train blood bank technicians, nurses, and phlebotomists.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
  • Preferred: MD/DNB in Transfusion Medicine or Pathology.
  • License: Valid registration with the Medical Council.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a licensed blood bank setup preferred (Freshers with relevant residency training may apply).
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of immunohematology, excellent communication, and leadership skills.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
