Full job description
Here is a job description tailored for a home-visit veterinarian role, heavily focused on the entrepreneurial, self-starter traits you are looking for.
Job Description: Mobile Veterinarian (Home Visits)
Location: Anywhere in India (Field-based / Travel Intensive)
About the Role We are looking for a highly capable, independent Mobile Veterinarian to provide premium, at-home veterinary care. This is not a traditional clinic role; it requires a deep sense of ownership and the ability to operate autonomously. You will be on the front lines, diagnosing and treating pets in the comfort of their own homes across various locations. If you are a problem-solver who thrives outside a conventional office setting and has a relentless "get things done" attitude, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Home Care: Conduct comprehensive in-home health examinations, administer vaccinations, perform diagnostics (blood draws, rapid tests), and provide medical treatments for companion animals.
- Independent Operations: Manage your daily schedule, travel logistics, and medical inventory with high efficiency. You are the operational engine of your own mobile practice.
- Client Communication: Build deep trust with pet parents. Educate them on preventative care, nutrition, and treatment plans in a clear, empathetic manner.
- Emergency & Triage: Accurately assess situations in a home environment, stabilize patients if necessary, and facilitate referrals to local hospitals for critical emergencies or surgeries.
- Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous, up-to-date digital medical records and ensure compliance with all veterinary regulations.
- Growth Mindset: Actively identify ways to improve the home-visit experience, streamline processes, and help expand the service footprint in your designated region.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: B.V.Sc & A.H. or M.V.Sc degree from a recognized institution.
- Licensing: Valid registration with the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) or the respective State Veterinary Council.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience, ideally with a focus on small companion animals. Previous mobile or home-visit experience is a massive plus.
- Entrepreneurial Drive: You don't wait for instructions. You identify problems, propose solutions, and execute them. You treat your regional operations as your own business.
- Adaptability: Unfazed by unpredictable environments, traffic, or challenging home setups. You think on your feet and make things work.
- Willingness to Travel: High comfort level with extensive travel within the designated city or region.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
Work Location: Remote
