JOB TITLE: Officer - Medical Coding JOB SUMMARY: The associates in this department, assign CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 CM codes based on medical record documentation. Medical Coders accurately code conditions and procedures as documented and in accordance with the ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting. Job Requisites: • Coder experience between 2 to 5 yrs is required • Under Graduation Degree in any Life Science • Excellent knowledge in Human Anatomy and Physiology Good-to-have Qualifications/Skills: • Specialized Certifications – CPC/ CCS/ CCS-P/ COC Roles and Responsibilities • Interpreting medical charts and identifying the medical necessity and the procedure rendered. • Identifying and coding all pertinent diagnosis. • Identifying and coding all applicable medical procedures. • Meeting productivity, quality and accuracy standards.
